BAO FAQ

How do I eat bao?

Bao is the perfect portable snack or meal! Once prepared, simply peel off the paper and savor every bite. With so much flavor packed inside Bao House’s signature bao, it is the perfect on-the-go solution to feed any need.

Do I dip my bao in sauces?

Because our flavours speak for themselves, we are purists at Bao House. But we know some of our fans love a good sauce and we would never discourage creativity – especially in the kitchen. So, if you’ve got a flavorite bao/sauce combo in mind, give it a try!

Is this the same thing as a dumpling?

A bao is one type of Asian dumpling. Also known as dim sum, bao are round, purse-shaped dumplings, while potstickers are crescent-shaped dumplings. Bao House also offers Ginger Chicken Potstickers, Chicken Soup Dumplings, and Pork Soup Dumplings as part of their product line.

What is a Bao?

Bao can be traced back as far as 400 BC as a staple of Chinese cuisine. For centuries the soft, fluffy dough filled with savoury or sweet flavours has varied from region to region, but the ease and deliciousness of the traditional Asian food has remained. In 2013 Bao House was born and we’ve spent the last 12 years making Baos for Bao Lovers.
